For the past couple of weeks, my sibs and I have been dealing with high lag in the game during times of high traffic (evenings/weekends). Okay so a few days ago, I put together my shiny new computer. It downloads things fine, it runs pretty much everything internet related fine, but whenever I play wow it just shreds my latency. There's a large number of people having problems logging into the Beta in the last few days. Either it sits at "Connecting" for a minute before kicking you to the "You have been disconnected from the server." Or you get the "The login server is busy, try again later." sometimes, not all the time, i can't get wow to actually get to the loading screen, delete the wtf files and can get in. tried google fu, tried the forums for info. repaired, reinstalled...i'm at a lost here.
running win 7.
can't think of anything major that has changed. updated all drivers etc.
anyone have any suggestions?

Is anyone having problems getting in game?  It will let me sign in, it will even give me the realm and toon page, but when I choose a toon and go to enter,  I get the loading screen, but the status bar, it only goes about a quarter of the way and everything freezes and I get the 'not responding' message ( Read more... )

Okay. It was 3-4 weeks or so ago I reset my computer back factory settings. Before setting it back I was able to play wow with out serious lag. It wasn't the best but I could move around with out it looking all funky because of going super slow or whatever.  However, once I reset it and re downloaded my stuff, I had lag galore.
